Hi, folks,

I just wanted to announce that a new version of my mod, "the Latest, Greatest Housing Mod," is now available. This version combines the Latest, Greatest Housing Mods 1 & 2 (and the patch for #2). It also adds 2 new homes, 2 more quests, and a number of improvements and upgrades to several homes. Now, there are a total of 18 homes available for purchase and conquests.

***PLEASE NOTE: Use this "gold version" of the mod alone; do not use it with any previous versions of the Latest, Greatest Housing Mods.

***ALSO NOTE: You will need an unzipping program like winzip, win-rar, or winace to access this .esp file. Otherwise, the mod (.esp file) may not appear in the downloaded file if you try to unzip it with just Windows. You can get an unzipping utility for free at www.winace.com, www.win-rar.com, or winzip.com.

Here is a description of the mod and some screenshots below, along with download links:

Description:
Are you tired of killing people for a residence just to find that it is short on storage and in a bad location? Did the Redoran people build you a stronghold in hellish Bal Isra? Have you ever wanted more out of a housing mod? Do you simply want a choice? Well, visit Comfort Properties and Travel Services in St. Delyn Canal West (Vivec). The proprietors, Sonni and Stormi Day, sell waterfront property all over Vvardenfell to suit any taste. Want a houseboat, a guar farm, your very own canton? They have it and more at reasonable prices. Also, these ladies provide teleportation services to eight locations and offer a series of exciting quests.

This mod allows players to buy one or more houses located across Vvardenfell. There are 12 houses for sale in these locations: Vivec, Sadrith Mora, Balmora (2), Seyda Neen, Gnisis, Azura's Coast, Pelagiad, Sheogorad Region, Vos, Hla Oad, and Gnaar Mok. Homes range in price from 500 to 50,000 gold pieces. Six other residences can be acquired by completing the main quest. These houses are in the Grazelands Region, Caldera, Dagon Fel, Suran, Molag Mar, and Ald-ruhn. Sonni and Stormi Day, the real estate agents, are located in St. Delyn Canal West in Vivec and offer a number of quests which are tied to the properties. The main quest--centering around grand estates in Vivec and the Grazelands--is for high-level characters (I
would suggest 20+ level). Some highlights of the mod:

1. buy a houseboat, guar farm, or mini-canton
2. earn apartments, a grand estate, or even a Daedric shrine through completing challenging quests
3. buy furnishings and other services from new NPCs
4. houses come with amenities such as fountains, indoor swimming and bath areas, a private silt strider, teleportation rings (8 locations!), mannequins, alchemy areas, private boat service, trained pets (who can also fight), and plenty of storage
5. recruit guards to watch your properties
6. become involved in resolving a civil war between Ordinators
7. lead an army into combat
8. meet Sotha Sil of the Tribunal
9. save Vvardenfell from evil foes even more powerful than Dagoth Ur as your character's destiny unfolds in an engaging main quest and several minor quests
10. adds dozens of new NPCs, over 10 creatures, several weapons, armor, and other items. (There are no new textures or meshes used.)

Screenshots:
Stormhold (Grazelands)
Viveron (Vivec)
Odaian (Balmora)
Guara Farms (Azura's Coast)
Skarana Manor (Sheogorad Region)
The Samsian (Gnisis)
Mora Mora (Sadrith Mora)
Main Quarters (Viveron)
Main Quarters (Infinity Warehouse)
Mannequin Room (Infinity Warehouse)
Bath Area (Skarana Manor)
Bedroom (Stormhold)
Indoor Pool (The Den of Sin, Suran)
Ordinator Civil War (Vivec)
Daedric Shrine with Mysterious Portal

Technical Matters:
This mod has been cleaned with TESAME and play-tested dozens of times, so there should be no problems. Please send feedback to a1001dreams@hotmail.com. The mod can be downloaded at the links in my signature and includes the .esp file, a readme document, a tips/walkthrough document, and 10 screenshots. Other download links will be added shortly.

Enjoy!

I don't use Balmora Expanded, but I know there are others who do who haven't had conflicts between it and the house in Balmora (which is actually outside of the south wall and not in the city).

Sotha Sil's appearance in this mod will make sense and not be a spoiler, regardless of whether you have played Tribunal.

This sounds great and I'd love to try it, but I wonder if any of the houses is creates will conflict with the other multiple housing mods such as Morrowind Homes, Spencer Homes, Lenne's Real Estate, or the homes created from IndyBank? If so, I'll probably end up just using this one instead because it sounds like it quite possibly beats out all the others.

Can't speak to Lenne's Real Estate or Morrowind Homes, but it definitely doesn't conflict with Spencer Homes. And the quests are pretty damn good. biggrin.gif

S'viirr, these are your standard mannequins on which only armors, clothes, and shields will appear (no weapons). All ten races are represented and half are male, half female. I don't know anything about the effects of body replacer mods, so I can't help you there. All of my mannequins were made from models that came with the original Morrowind construction set. That is, no new meshes or textures were used.

I'd like to know if there will be any problem with switching from the old version to the new ones in-game. I haven't yet interacted with any person or place added by this mod except for trying a (locked) door - so it should be OK?

Ieldra,

If you have a game that has been saved with an earlier version of the mod in it, then you will have to "clean" the earlier version from your saved game before installing this new version (I have included instructions for cleaning a saved game in the tips document that comes with the new mod). It doesn't matter if you haven't interacted with people or places added by a mod; the big issue is whether you have saved the game with the mod loaded in it.

One weird thing: the travelers tent just outside of Balmora's north wall is stuck into a hill, although you can still get to the door. Probably is easily fixed in the CS.

Traveler's Tent in Balmora should look like this. If it doesn't, then you might have a dirty save, as Telephoros suggested, or conflicting mods.

I would like to report a bug. This mod conflicts with Balmora Expansion. It cause a hill to bury the Music Shop, Magic Shoppe, and Gaurd HQ from BE in a hill. I'll try to get a pic soon, if I can find a place to host it. Any chance of a compatibility patch? I also have experienced a bug with a CTD as soon as I turn a certain corner in Vivec, St. Delyn's. Here is a rough map

I haven't tested this one w/o LGHMG, yet. I have tested the other though.

EDIT: The map doesn't work! just imagine the first row is the correct width, and the others are the same as it.

No, this is my first time with this mod. It probably is a BE conflict because they both are in the same cell. I just moved the tent in CS.

I have it unloaded right now because of similar landscape conflicts in other locations. May try to work on it later.
