By the way ..... When I say tested I mean I checked the Plugins content to make sure it was actually there and doing what its supposed to. Checked many different locales for text breaks and missing options in the talking area and checked main quest text options and for breaks. Out of all the mods listed the only one which had any errors was the Dread Pious armor and its not a error persay just a very minor glitch in talking options with the plugin itself and does nothing to the main game to interfere. Hell I really only got it cause the armor looks cool and you wont really notice the problem unless your looking for it.

Can you make a web page where to download all that stuff? Its hard to wander looking for the best mods (and not unbalanced) I cannot download dual wielding and pretty face...

MegaMorrowind of Advendure's Mod? Wich is better?

Yeah! I love your work! Could be usefull to have a web that "collect" all those mods that adds gameplay to the game! I dont want a "super-hyper-sword-of-all-slash"... Fun factor, but well balanced.

Again, wich is better, Megamorrowind of Adventure's?

Re: Put in alot of time testing for you fans.

adventurer's mod makes the game more challenging and alters the gameplay slightly (move a little faster, advance a little slower, training more expensive, etc). the emphasis is more on challenging and intelligent creatures than gameplay changes.

megamorrowind massively overhauls the gameplay, making it an almost totally different experience. you may not agree with some of the changes, but it comes in a modular format.

adventurer's plugin is good, but megamorrowind is better if you've already 'been around the block' a few times in morrowind and want something new.

it's really a matter of preference...

cheers

Oh yeah forgot about that well to be honest I havent tried either of those only because its Bethesda's Job and I expect it from them to fix and tweak game areas. This in no way speaks for the excellence of those 2 Plugins as the creators had there own ideas for each. I did however look at them but chose not to use them after reading there readmes. You may try either as you see fit though as you may like some of there qualities. I hope that helps you in deciding, sorry I could'nt give more.

74 views and 2 posts is sad come on people I will let this ride for a day or 2 and if responses dont pick up I will move on. Just so ya'll know I enjoy testing these things and it helps to know which plugins actually work well together. And once again If you want me to test your mod running with all these let me know my email is above.

I havent played the adventures mod but i have played Mega morrowind it changes the game big time it changes the animal ai so they react more realistic like rats and those kwama baby worms no longer acttacking you, stores and peoples houses getting closed and locked at night, some cool dungeons that have a Daggerfall feel to them. But theres always a but heh some changes are a bit extreme like 60% decrease in exp when using destruction magic.I also found leveling up a bit too slow and training costs have sky rocketed along with repair costs. So make a save backup of your original in case you feel like going back to it and playing the mod when your in the mood for something different.

Hey just saying I appreciate the effort you're putting into this. If you could get a website that you could update, or perhaps apply to be a 'mod tester' for one of the major ones, it would be good to have a place to constantly go to check out what the latest mods are, and if they work properly.

Thanks to the Forum Head Honchos for pinning me,and I will do the Best I can to keep the FANS of MW happy as I can. As for my new helper She would be my Wife who is more Fascinated by this Game than I and actually got me to start this. So i hope it helps you all.

hp naturally regen is nice...it allows you to SLOWLY regen (so as not to affect battles because its on the order of 15 hp a minute and 8 mana a minute, so youre looking at one hit and one spell at most during a fight)...so you can walk along without resting every time you fight a tough monster, it just makes exploration more fun.

Thanks for the tip. I am currently testing mods for compatability with other mods as a whole world project. It will help the newcomers to MW and Veterans as well get a general idea of what they can add to there game without having to search through the problems themselves. Basically any mod I list you can 99% know it will work with another in the list problem free. I say 99% because nothings fool proof. I will be adding plugins to this list that enhance the experience even further without giving you uber loot on a platter. This does not mean that plugins not listed in my list dont work, I just havent got to it or it was a plugin that tried to balance many aspects of the game where as I will let the Devs fix those areas.

Nicely done. I'm already running most of the mods you have listed. You might want to find the "All Mods So Far by Dale French": Cupid or Stupid, the Haunting Hermit, the Curse of Loneliness, the Cavern of Undying Spores. Small quests, but entertaining.

Oh, yeah: Where'd Twin Lamps 0.8 come from? I've only been able to locate 0.5a at the various download sites.

Here some i use:

Modman's Hunger Mod- makes the character need to eat once every 24 hours or suffer attribute penalties and eventually hit points (like a few days later i think).

Persuasion Responses- Adds more interesting Npc statements when trying to admire them.Is working on the others Intimidate,Taunt for future releases.Adds more humor and life to the game.

Great job! Thanks for putting in the time to check all those mods. The last thing I want to do is add an interesting mod, and have it break something with the main game. But haven't had the time to test every mod that catches my eye. (Hell, barely have time to play the game itself! heh)

Now comes the somewhat tedious part of tracking down some more cool mods -
For what its worth there is a site out there that has MP3's of Daggerfall - add this to your exploring music folder. Just follow the thread of alternate music on this forum.

First of all I want to point out a few things to some of the people who posted here.

1st of all, loading up a mod CANNOT in any way, shape, or form (unless its a virus, and if you don't have a virus scanner then your just stupid) harm Morrowind or your saved games. As long as you don't save it! Just load it up, load your game, wander around for a while (but keep a save from Before the mod was loaded) if somethings wrong, just exit the game, uncheck the mod and load up the save from before you loaded the mod. Everything will work as it should, and nothing will be wrong.

2nd and no I'm not being crabby because none of my mods (see my sig) made the list. Just common sense people!

Glad you could grace this post but Canal Works merchant is in the list if you would have looked a little better instead of skimming you would have seen it. Also your Museum mod isnt there yet cause I havent tested it yet and this does not mean it does'nt work as it should but its on my test list. As for your post you are correct but alot of people want to download stuff they are positive works without having to deal with the checking and saving. This is what I am providing and any Plugin that isnt in the list does not mean it wont work as it should I have said this numerous times. Please read the whole post and posts as you will learn a little more on what I am doing.

House O'Dorthy stopped working when I patched. My Argonian (can't wear boots) doesn't get teleported to the house when I try equiping the shoes. Is this a function of it having a date before the patched master file? Will I have to rip that mod out and put it back in so I can recapture the shoes again? I like the mod and would like to continue to use it.

Ok eheh heres the deal Kahjit cant where shoes/boots etc .. so your screwed on the teleportation part of it. As i tried this mod with a non-boot wearing nut and found out the same thing. The boots will only activate when putting them on. Is that what stopped working for you cause with my darkelf it works fine as he can wear boots. Also any mod must be loaded and saved in the construction set after applying the patch. I will try to contact the creator of this mod and see if he can change it from shoes to something all race/class combos can use.

1. Whoops, I must have missed that. Although I wasn't really complaining. Just trying to make some fun (although its kind of hard to tell with just text ). Next time I'll do one of these [sarcasm]I'm stupid[/sarcasm]!

2. Yeah, I read the whole thing (and I don't skim! I read a lot for fun ), I understand what your trying to do, but I just wanted to point that out because many people (n00bs and otherwise) don't seem to understand this. And think that just by loading a mod it can wreck their saved games. Just wanted to put in my two cents. If it came off a little crabby I'm sorry, but I got home last night after like 9 hours of driving!

Tested Mods for Compatability/Updated Regularly
      #543899 - 06/30/02 08:27 PM

Good work...
I have a mod on Morrowind-Mods.com called W3RuneMod..
as soon as I finish a little more testing I will release an update to 1.1 which just replaces the esp portion as the runes weren't as rare as they were suposed to be.
My buddy found just as many Runes as he did Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, Diamond, Topaz, Aquamarine, Amethyst, etc... that will be fixed...

During my next mod experience, I will implement the ability to have weapons created from a supply of Raw Materials... X amount of raw glass to make a Glass sword, etc... and when I get that figured out, I will proceed to Rune Weapons... where you will be able to have a Rune Item created if you collect the right Runes to create the RuneWord(s)... Please test this one out, and e-me your opinion...

MasterW3- Its on my Tuesdays list

Starbuck- Yeah good point. Thats pretty much besides my wifes comments the reason why I strarted this to help the newbs feel more securely about downloading and installing. Plus it will help to know what works with what.

Over time there will be as many mods as I can test.

Final note..... I am working on a new mod with my wife and Pemrick69 if hes still interested to do the scripting. Its under tight wraps right now but heres a small hint of its contents.

1 New Town
1 New Temple
2 New Dungeons
New Quests based on events that appear and disappear in a time framed script like every 240 hours real time which is actually every 10 days. This isnt/ may not be the exact time frame at the moment its just a reference.

Imagine an NPC that appears for one day and at the end of the day disappears till the event cycle returns. He gives you a quest but tells you that you have till the end of the day to figure it out or you will have to wait till the cycle returns to try again.

Just letting you know that the mod:

Your Balmora Residence

Is a bit buggy.
1.It makes duplicate doors so you have to open two doors in the same doorway.
2.The banner hanging in front of the house also has a double underneath it as it blows in the wind.
3.When i uninstalled it left behind traces such as the banner still waving on the mountain where the house use to be.

I uninstalled the other mod "Your Dagon Fel Residence" just in case it has the same problem since i have yet to find it in the game in a secluded area far from the city which was the reason i downloaded it.
I got them both from "Morrowind Abodes" site.

WOW! That must have been a lot of work testing all those. I'm very glad they pinned this so I know it will be here for reference. I will consult your list when looking to add new things. It was very nice of you to go to all that trouble and share your findings at such length with the Morrowind community. I hope you keep it up! I've been wanting to try some new things and it sure is a timesaver to know something has been tested out already! Thanks again!

Just found out some info why i may have been getting duplicates in the "Your Balmora Residence" mod and Borjst weapon pack1 and left over graphic traces when uninstalling them.I installed the latest bank mod that came out last night (looks really good) in the readme it says it has problems running with other mods that change the main script and that its not compatible with saves of the older version of his bank mod that this created duplicate items etc. in the world. So its best to start a new game or with a clean save that never had his older version to run the final beta.So with this and the fact that i was running Modmans Hunger Mod (real cool) which changes the main script and he warns about the same conflicts as above like all great modders should (heh) this is probably what was giving me the graphical glitches and creating duplicates in other mods like Mega Morrowind and Borjst weapon pack1.Hope this helps others running into this so they dont have to start over like i do.Friggin finiky main script canst thou stop thy narrow thinking?

Yeah thats a flag up. Especially since I really like the Bank Mod. So what I will try to accomplish is a Secondary List that has mods that change the main script from this list you will /should be able to choose one you like the best to use with your mods since they all will not work correctly if you have more than one mod in your plugins that changes the main script in any way. Unless Hellbishop you wanna contribute and work on that aspect while I continue mod tests. Reall I appreciate the help. Hellbishop- send me a PM if your interested.

You need to open the file put the esp in the data files put the meshes in the meshes files with folders if it has any, and textures in the textures folder with folders if it has any.

Make sure that the File in the data folder has been unzipped properly. I usually download and unzip to a temporary folder. Then just take the files and place them where they go.

I'd appreciate any testing you could do! I've just released my DDS version of the mod aswell, which has reduced the download size by more than half, and I've made sure all the textures are still working. I still could've missed a couple though.

Endarire - Just wondering, does my mod work with your other 100000 plugins? I think I remember reading that you run a lot at the same time. It SHOULD work with any other plugin, as all my items use unique IDs, and the only cell modified that I didn't create is Balmora, where I just added that small wall which leads to the dwarven ruins. I'd be interested to know though.

Hi there. FIrst of all, great work.

Second: I've been wondering if it would be possible to do a kind of "aggregate main script" that would contain all the code necessary to run all the plugins that use it. Does this make sense? Since you are investigating the main script anyway, could you run some tests with pasting the code from all these separate main scripts into one?

Thanks for all your troubles

For those looking for Fletcher Mod and Barenziah Uncensored (both of which were mentioned for safety/compatibility), vist locklear.tripod.com. That site will always have the latest versions, as well as status information on any future versions of FletcherMod or other projects by that author. I know this because... I'm him. :-) Just a note, FletcherMod 2.0 is currently in the testing phase, and adds support for making bolts, in addition to arrows.

You know what would be really great, I don't know how feasible it is, but it would be cool if you zipped up all the mods in one big file. Or maybe a couple of medium sized zip files. I personally get frusterated trying to find all of the mods. Maybe it is just me but either the names aren't the same as in your list or they are just no longer on some of the pages. Spent a few hours trying to find them and finally just gave up. But never the less, an awesome job you are doing and keep up the good work. It is greatly appreciated!!!

Only problem with one big tarball (er, ZIP file, too much Linux, sorry) is that many mod authors wouldn't like that idea much, myself included. Through no fault of the person who makes this massive ball of mods, credit, questions, and complaints will tend to be directed to them, instead of the author of the mod. I don't mind people sharing my mod with others who can't find it (although it's on Euro-Morrowind, Morrowind Summit, and my own site, so there's no good reason for MINE at least to be hard to find), but I don't want it mushed in with a bunch of other mods. If the mods are worse than mine, it makes my mod look worse for being with them. If they're better than mine (of course, that's impossible, NOTHING is better than FletcherMod...), mine sort of gets drowned out.

I understand the convenience of a large mass of mods, but speaking as someone who makes those mods, I want to be able to make sure that my mod stays mine--not part of someone else's giant amalgam.

Btw Iamhere, Morrowind-Mods is pseudo-up, most of the downloads are working, and the site is looking good. Redice/Ty's Evil Friend (the previous owner and creator of Morrowind-Mods) has passed the torch to PsiSoldier. Just wanted to let you all know.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

As of right now, every mod on this list (with two exceptions that neither I nor Iamhere can find now) is available at http://www.dragonsight.com (along with a bunch of other mods that our staff has decided that we like).

Stop by and visit our lively, but uncrowded, forums while you are there.

It is our intention to continue posting everything Iamhere reviews. If any of you have or can find a copy of the Firefly Mod or BlueFlame Sword, please send the file or a link to mailto:beowulf@dragonsight.com or pshylocke@dragonsight.com and we will put it up to complete the collection.

Dragonsight is members-only for downloads, but the membership process is painless and totally confidential. Those with software firewalls may have to turn them off to download from our site.

I just thought I would take a moment to say how much I appreciate your work..I am one stubborn sob though and try my best to make mods work together..if anyone would like to post mod conflict problems to this thread I will attempt to explain how you can make them coexist peacfully, with a little (or alot) of time spent in tes and tesame..

Thats great man I could use the help with all these people sending me there problems majority of them are using my list and then a ton others that are not there. Sorry I cannot do as many updates to keep up with the supply rate but I do have an update coming in the next day or so with 20 to 30 more mods that are compatible.

word of warning...the stargate mod adds an empty dialog line under advancement...if you load any mod that adds a faction after the stargate mod you will be unable to advance. stargate also adds a 3rd portculis (sp) to ghost gate and you will be unable to get into ghost gate without flying over the fence...

Most if not all of these seem to have a missing master file, so far have tried out Ninja v1.0, no good there, tried Samurai, no good there, did try a Khaji mod to no avail, only ones tyhat have actually loaded are the Abandoned Flat, n DC Mod for a Condo in Balmora { BC ? } and of course the ones from Bethe * Official * ones work. I think the PROBLEM is the new patch otr somesuch, have loded alot of mods and keep getting same error msg. Missing Master file needed to run this ???????. Do you wish to load even so? y/n Thats it, is all I get for all the time took to fine, dwnld, unzip, n install to Morowind data Folder, the files do come up on adding files option, and i check them, thern when game loads Misssing Master file error ! any have or know of a good Stealh, Ninja , Assasin kinda new race mod, or any that enhcnces some exsisting races towards a stealh/ninja/assasin character?? btw, will these mods that DONT work, get an update so will work with new patch? Thanks and res[ects to all. I be back ina few, got to Un-install MW to get rid of all those useless mods.

Sorry to say but all of these mods work fine you just have to save them in your editor one at a time my friend. That will fix your little master errors.
