By the way ..... When I say tested I mean I checked the Plugins content to make sure it was actually there and doing what its supposed to. Checked many different locales for text breaks and missing options in the talking area and checked main quest text options and for breaks. Out of all the mods listed the only one which had any errors was the Dread Pious armor and its not a error persay just a very minor glitch in talking options with the plugin itself and does nothing to the main game to interfere. Hell I really only got it cause the armor looks cool and you wont really notice the problem unless your looking for it.

Can you make a web page where to download all that stuff? Its hard to wander looking for the best mods (and not unbalanced) I cannot download dual wielding and pretty face...

MegaMorrowind of Advendure's Mod? Wich is better?

Yeah! I love your work! Could be usefull to have a web that "collect" all those mods that adds gameplay to the game! I dont want a "super-hyper-sword-of-all-slash"... Fun factor, but well balanced.

Again, wich is better, Megamorrowind of Adventure's?

Re: Put in alot of time testing for you fans.

adventurer's mod makes the game more challenging and alters the gameplay slightly (move a little faster, advance a little slower, training more expensive, etc). the emphasis is more on challenging and intelligent creatures than gameplay changes.

megamorrowind massively overhauls the gameplay, making it an almost totally different experience. you may not agree with some of the changes, but it comes in a modular format.

adventurer's plugin is good, but megamorrowind is better if you've already 'been around the block' a few times in morrowind and want something new.

it's really a matter of preference...

cheers

Oh yeah forgot about that well to be honest I havent tried either of those only because its Bethesda's Job and I expect it from them to fix and tweak game areas. This in no way speaks for the excellence of those 2 Plugins as the creators had there own ideas for each. I did however look at them but chose not to use them after reading there readmes. You may try either as you see fit though as you may like some of there qualities. I hope that helps you in deciding, sorry I could'nt give more.

74 views and 2 posts is sad come on people I will let this ride for a day or 2 and if responses dont pick up I will move on. Just so ya'll know I enjoy testing these things and it helps to know which plugins actually work well together. And once again If you want me to test your mod running with all these let me know my email is above.

I havent played the adventures mod but i have played Mega morrowind it changes the game big time it changes the animal ai so they react more realistic like rats and those kwama baby worms no longer acttacking you, stores and peoples houses getting closed and locked at night, some cool dungeons that have a Daggerfall feel to them. But theres always a but heh some changes are a bit extreme like 60% decrease in exp when using destruction magic.I also found leveling up a bit too slow and training costs have sky rocketed along with repair costs. So make a save backup of your original in case you feel like going back to it and playing the mod when your in the mood for something different.

Hey just saying I appreciate the effort you're putting into this. If you could get a website that you could update, or perhaps apply to be a 'mod tester' for one of the major ones, it would be good to have a place to constantly go to check out what the latest mods are, and if they work properly.

Thanks to the Forum Head Honchos for pinning me,and I will do the Best I can to keep the FANS of MW happy as I can. As for my new helper She would be my Wife who is more Fascinated by this Game than I and actually got me to start this. So i hope it helps you all.

hp naturally regen is nice...it allows you to SLOWLY regen (so as not to affect battles because its on the order of 15 hp a minute and 8 mana a minute, so youre looking at one hit and one spell at most during a fight)...so you can walk along without resting every time you fight a tough monster, it just makes exploration more fun.

Thanks for the tip. I am currently testing mods for compatability with other mods as a whole world project. It will help the newcomers to MW and Veterans as well get a general idea of what they can add to there game without having to search through the problems themselves. Basically any mod I list you can 99% know it will work with another in the list problem free. I say 99% because nothings fool proof. I will be adding plugins to this list that enhance the experience even further without giving you uber loot on a platter. This does not mean that plugins not listed in my list dont work, I just havent got to it or it was a plugin that tried to balance many aspects of the game where as I will let the Devs fix those areas.

Nicely done. I'm already running most of the mods you have listed. You might want to find the "All Mods So Far by Dale French": Cupid or Stupid, the Haunting Hermit, the Curse of Loneliness, the Cavern of Undying Spores. Small quests, but entertaining.

Oh, yeah: Where'd Twin Lamps 0.8 come from? I've only been able to locate 0.5a at the various download sites.

Here some i use:

Modman's Hunger Mod- makes the character need to eat once every 24 hours or suffer attribute penalties and eventually hit points (like a few days later i think).

Persuasion Responses- Adds more interesting Npc statements when trying to admire them.Is working on the others Intimidate,Taunt for future releases.Adds more humor and life to the game.

Great job! Thanks for putting in the time to check all those mods. The last thing I want to do is add an interesting mod, and have it break something with the main game. But haven't had the time to test every mod that catches my eye. (Hell, barely have time to play the game itself! heh)

Now comes the somewhat tedious part of tracking down some more cool mods -
For what its worth there is a site out there that has MP3's of Daggerfall - add this to your exploring music folder. Just follow the thread of alternate music on this forum.

First of all I want to point out a few things to some of the people who posted here.

1st of all, loading up a mod CANNOT in any way, shape, or form (unless its a virus, and if you don't have a virus scanner then your just stupid) harm Morrowind or your saved games. As long as you don't save it! Just load it up, load your game, wander around for a while (but keep a save from Before the mod was loaded) if somethings wrong, just exit the game, uncheck the mod and load up the save from before you loaded the mod. Everything will work as it should, and nothing will be wrong.

2nd and no I'm not being crabby because none of my mods (see my sig) made the list. Just common sense people!

Glad you could grace this post but Canal Works merchant is in the list if you would have looked a little better instead of skimming you would have seen it. Also your Museum mod isnt there yet cause I havent tested it yet and this does not mean it does'nt work as it should but its on my test list. As for your post you are correct but alot of people want to download stuff they are positive works without having to deal with the checking and saving. This is what I am providing and any Plugin that isnt in the list does not mean it wont work as it should I have said this numerous times. Please read the whole post and posts as you will learn a little more on what I am doing.

House O'Dorthy stopped working when I patched. My Argonian (can't wear boots) doesn't get teleported to the house when I try equiping the shoes. Is this a function of it having a date before the patched master file? Will I have to rip that mod out and put it back in so I can recapture the shoes again? I like the mod and would like to continue to use it.

Ok eheh heres the deal Kahjit cant where shoes/boots etc .. so your screwed on the teleportation part of it. As i tried this mod with a non-boot wearing nut and found out the same thing. The boots will only activate when putting them on. Is that what stopped working for you cause with my darkelf it works fine as he can wear boots. Also any mod must be loaded and saved in the construction set after applying the patch. I will try to contact the creator of this mod and see if he can change it from shoes to something all race/class combos can use.

1. Whoops, I must have missed that. Although I wasn't really complaining. Just trying to make some fun (although its kind of hard to tell with just text ). Next time I'll do one of these [sarcasm]I'm stupid[/sarcasm]!

2. Yeah, I read the whole thing (and I don't skim! I read a lot for fun ), I understand what your trying to do, but I just wanted to point that out because many people (n00bs and otherwise) don't seem to understand this. And think that just by loading a mod it can wreck their saved games. Just wanted to put in my two cents. If it came off a little crabby I'm sorry, but I got home last night after like 9 hours of driving!

Tested Mods for Compatability/Updated Regularly
      #543899 - 06/30/02 08:27 PM

Good work...
I have a mod on Morrowind-Mods.com called W3RuneMod..
as soon as I finish a little more testing I will release an update to 1.1 which just replaces the esp portion as the runes weren't as rare as they were suposed to be.
My buddy found just as many Runes as he did Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, Diamond, Topaz, Aquamarine, Amethyst, etc... that will be fixed...

During my next mod experience, I will implement the ability to have weapons created from a supply of Raw Materials... X amount of raw glass to make a Glass sword, etc... and when I get that figured out, I will proceed to Rune Weapons... where you will be able to have a Rune Item created if you collect the right Runes to create the RuneWord(s)... Please test this one out, and e-me your opinion...

MasterW3- Its on my Tuesdays list

Starbuck- Yeah good point. Thats pretty much besides my wifes comments the reason why I strarted this to help the newbs feel more securely about downloading and installing. Plus it will help to know what works with what.

Over time there will be as many mods as I can test.

Final note..... I am working on a new mod with my wife and Pemrick69 if hes still interested to do the scripting. Its under tight wraps right now but heres a small hint of its contents.

1 New Town
1 New Temple
2 New Dungeons
New Quests based on events that appear and disappear in a time framed script like every 240 hours real time which is actually every 10 days. This isnt/ may not be the exact time frame at the moment its just a reference.

Imagine an NPC that appears for one day and at the end of the day disappears till the event cycle returns. He gives you a quest but tells you that you have till the end of the day to figure it out or you will have to wait till the cycle returns to try again.

Just letting you know that the mod:

Your Balmora Residence

Is a bit buggy.
1.It makes duplicate doors so you have to open two doors in the same doorway.
2.The banner hanging in front of the house also has a double underneath it as it blows in the wind.
3.When i uninstalled it left behind traces such as the banner still waving on the mountain where the house use to be.

I uninstalled the other mod "Your Dagon Fel Residence" just in case it has the same problem since i have yet to find it in the game in a secluded area far from the city which was the reason i downloaded it.
I got them both from "Morrowind Abodes" site.

WOW! That must have been a lot of work testing all those. I'm very glad they pinned this so I know it will be here for reference. I will consult your list when looking to add new things. It was very nice of you to go to all that trouble and share your findings at such length with the Morrowind community. I hope you keep it up! I've been wanting to try some new things and it sure is a timesaver to know something has been tested out already! Thanks again!

Just found out some info why i may have been getting duplicates in the "Your Balmora Residence" mod and Borjst weapon pack1 and left over graphic traces when uninstalling them.I installed the latest bank mod that came out last night (looks really good) in the readme it says it has problems running with other mods that change the main script and that its not compatible with saves of the older version of his bank mod that this created duplicate items etc. in the world. So its best to start a new game or with a clean save that never had his older version to run the final beta.So with this and the fact that i was running Modmans Hunger Mod (real cool) which changes the main script and he warns about the same conflicts as above like all great modders should (heh) this is probably what was giving me the graphical glitches and creating duplicates in other mods like Mega Morrowind and Borjst weapon pack1.Hope this helps others running into this so they dont have to start over like i do.Friggin finiky main script canst thou stop thy narrow thinking?

Yeah thats a flag up. Especially since I really like the Bank Mod. So what I will try to accomplish is a Secondary List that has mods that change the main script from this list you will /should be able to choose one you like the best to use with your mods since they all will not work correctly if you have more than one mod in your plugins that changes the main script in any way. Unless Hellbishop you wanna contribute and work on that aspect while I continue mod tests. Reall I appreciate the help. Hellbishop- send me a PM if your interested.

You need to open the file put the esp in the data files put the meshes in the meshes files with folders if it has any, and textures in the textures folder with folders if it has any.

Make sure that the File in the data folder has been unzipped properly. I usually download and unzip to a temporary folder. Then just take the files and place them where they go.

I'd appreciate any testing you could do! I've just released my DDS version of the mod aswell, which has reduced the download size by more than half, and I've made sure all the textures are still working. I still could've missed a couple though.

Endarire - Just wondering, does my mod work with your other 100000 plugins? I think I remember reading that you run a lot at the same time. It SHOULD work with any other plugin, as all my items use unique IDs, and the only cell modified that I didn't create is Balmora, where I just added that small wall which leads to the dwarven ruins. I'd be interested to know though.

Hi there. FIrst of all, great work.

Second: I've been wondering if it would be possible to do a kind of "aggregate main script" that would contain all the code necessary to run all the plugins that use it. Does this make sense? Since you are investigating the main script anyway, could you run some tests with pasting the code from all these separate main scripts into one?

Thanks for all your troubles

For those looking for Fletcher Mod and Barenziah Uncensored (both of which were mentioned for safety/compatibility), vist locklear.tripod.com. That site will always have the latest versions, as well as status information on any future versions of FletcherMod or other projects by that author. I know this because... I'm him. :-) Just a note, FletcherMod 2.0 is currently in the testing phase, and adds support for making bolts, in addition to arrows.

You know what would be really great, I don't know how feasible it is, but it would be cool if you zipped up all the mods in one big file. Or maybe a couple of medium sized zip files. I personally get frusterated trying to find all of the mods. Maybe it is just me but either the names aren't the same as in your list or they are just no longer on some of the pages. Spent a few hours trying to find them and finally just gave up. But never the less, an awesome job you are doing and keep up the good work. It is greatly appreciated!!!

Only problem with one big tarball (er, ZIP file, too much Linux, sorry) is that many mod authors wouldn't like that idea much, myself included. Through no fault of the person who makes this massive ball of mods, credit, questions, and complaints will tend to be directed to them, instead of the author of the mod. I don't mind people sharing my mod with others who can't find it (although it's on Euro-Morrowind, Morrowind Summit, and my own site, so there's no good reason for MINE at least to be hard to find), but I don't want it mushed in with a bunch of other mods. If the mods are worse than mine, it makes my mod look worse for being with them. If they're better than mine (of course, that's impossible, NOTHING is better than FletcherMod...), mine sort of gets drowned out.

I understand the convenience of a large mass of mods, but speaking as someone who makes those mods, I want to be able to make sure that my mod stays mine--not part of someone else's giant amalgam.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

As of right now, every mod on this list (with two exceptions that neither I nor Iamhere can find now) is available at http://www.dragonsight.com (along with a bunch of other mods that our staff has decided that we like).

Stop by and visit our lively, but uncrowded, forums while you are there.

It is our intention to continue posting everything Iamhere reviews. If any of you have or can find a copy of the Firefly Mod or BlueFlame Sword, please send the file or a link to mailto:beowulf@dragonsight.com or pshylocke@dragonsight.com and we will put it up to complete the collection.

Dragonsight is members-only for downloads, but the membership process is painless and totally confidential. Those with software firewalls may have to turn them off to download from our site.

word of warning...the stargate mod adds an empty dialog line under advancement...if you load any mod that adds a faction after the stargate mod you will be unable to advance. stargate also adds a 3rd portculis (sp) to ghost gate and you will be unable to get into ghost gate without flying over the fence...

Do you wish to load even so? y/n Thats it, is all I get for all the time took to fine, dwnld, unzip, n install to Morowind data Folder, the files do come up on adding files option, and i check them, thern when game loads Misssing Master file error ! any have or know of a good Stealh, Ninja , Assasin kinda new race mod, or any that enhcnces some exsisting races towards a stealh/ninja/assasin character?? btw, will these mods that DONT work, get an update so will work with new patch? Silverstreak,

If I recall correctly (its been a while), they are actually the same mod with different names attached to the zip. I do remember getting Iamhere's list and searching everywhere to find this thing, only to find that when I opened the .zip, it was the same file that we already had. That's the problem when there are no readmes attached in a .zip.

You speak about being able to get the mods from Dragonsight but that sight does not allow people to register. The reg for the forums and the site have been merged it says but when you go to register for the forums it says

"The board administrator is no longer accepting any new registrations at the moment"

Its too bad b/c I wanted to get the mods from there

Be carefull with castlevania. I received a big nasty bug in combination with the official firemoth plugin. With castlevania you don't arrive on the firemoth island if you travel there with the ship, you arrive 10 meters under water and the hills are levitating 2 meters above the water.
Don't know if this happens everytime, but check this out if you try to play both.

anyway, with this info, i'm going to go in and and uninstall everything and start off fresh with some of your suggestions. they really look great!

I have done a small interview with Puma Man about Giants 2.0

Q. What was your main reason for coming up with the
Giants and Giants 2.0
Mod?

A. I wanted to put back in the creatures I had come to
love from Daggerfall. I love Daggerfall. It's virtues
far outweigh its shortcomings.

Q.How many creatures are included in the 2.0
version?

A. I just counted 25 species in all. Within these species
are more than 80 creatures each different in some way.
I've really lost count maybe I'll sit down and count
each one when I'm done and surprise my self. ;P

Q. Will you be continuing Giants Mod passed the 2.0
version?

A. Yes there will be a sequel (of sorts) named GIANTS II.
It will add some new creatures but it will be much
smaller than this mod in scope. It will center around
a quest and the creatures involved in it mostly
instead of just adding in creatures to MW. There
really is no need for another huge creature mod like
GIANTS because Horatio's level merging tool would
allow any creature to be added one by one without any
incompatibility.

Q. Do you have any plans of including your own new
creatures made by you?

A. I think i have gotten the reputation up to now of
borrowing stuff by done by other modders and putting
them together into my own creature mods. In v2.0 ever
since i got a skinner (someone to take textures off so
i can paint on them) I've been able "finally" to put
my artistic skills into my own mods. You will see that
most of the new creatures are completely my own
creations (except for the meshes, of course). There is
still a lot of stuff that is borrowed. For example,
the new ascended Mummies come from ^_^x Kenshin-dono's
"The Scorned" completely intact with no changes done
by me. The Trolls are made from his werewolf designs
but entirely re-textured by me made to look
well...like Trolls. The Sea Titans were made head to
toe be me. Whatever is not mentioned in the credits
section of the readme.doc was made by me.

Q. After playing the first Giants I found it an
excellent add-on what were
your first thoughts?

A. I thought the Npc creatures needed to be more like
real MW creatures. Since they were essentially Npcs
guards would not attack them. I also thought that just
re-sizing the creatures of MW was not enough of a
change to make one believe they were new creatures. I
really wanted to re-texture them.
Finally i got my chance to fix these things thanks to
my excellent team.

Q. Did you have any initial problems making Giants
that could be fixed or
bettered by a more complete breakdown from Bethesda
of how to include and
make new animations?

A. Oh yes. But still, one can manipulate the editor to
modify animations sometimes to a very satisfying
degree. The new traditional Mummies i made were made
to move very slowly one foot at a time and the corprus
stalker default animations are almost perfect for
them.
The Giants now use a "Force Sneak" script which forces
them to crouch some when they walk giving them a
brutish and primitive walk.

Q. Did you have any problems with the sheer size of
the Giants and the
pathing and or objects getting in the way of there
movement?

A. Not really because I leave HUGE creatures for outdoor
areas. They will get stuck not much more than most of
the other creatures do from what I've seen.

8. Feel free to thank all who participated in the
production of Giants 2.0
here?

I want to give credit to the co-authors for providing
their own original creations. Intelligentsia created
the shades and all their cool custom weapons. He also
solved the nocturnal creature issue I was struggling
with in silence when he made them. His discovery
allowed me to make all the cool nocturnal life you
will encounter in GIANTS v2.0.
Horatio who did all the complex scripting also did the
Glass Golem, the Ebony golem, Spriggan Famine and my
favorites "Shalk Stalkers". He also came up with the
GLOW feature you will see in GIANTS 2.0.
Prometheus (Jens) was my skinner and he also did some
3ds Max work on the mod too. His skinning was
invaluable.

Hello Iamhere just wanted to report a dialogue bug in the "Hulgar" mod. It's a underground dungeon with a trap door entrance at the sign crossroads outside Balmora. The bug takes away the "Latest Rumours" option from the game. I removed the mod and got the options back. Kind of strange for a dungeon mod to this i think.Am using Moonspawn v1.3.3 so maybe they conflict or something.By the way i still have Moonspawn installed with no problems. Well that is all just wanted to get the info out in case anyone else runs into this. Thanks always for your ceaseless efforts in making our mod use less troublesome.

Avoid Hulgar! That's one of the first mods i ever worked on to make better and fix up.

Unfortunatly I found no way to fix the Dremora dialouge it screws up.

All the dremoras (like the one in that shrine in Maar Gan) will say "Please help me kill hulgar...."

No good.

Thanks Iamhere for offering to check it even though it might not have been on your list. I did not know you had a dirty list along with the tested and cleaned mods list. Oh and dont be disappointed about not being able to fix it.I just downloaded it this past weekend so its no biggie just wanted others to know about the bug.

Thanks PumaMan for the important info and saving Iamhere from waisting his very well used time (at least i think so) on a impossible mission.

No sweat and thanks for everyone who helps out.

Hellbishop ye I keep a list somewhat all over the place but I will get a complete list compiled and post. See I still try the non compatible mods in seperate lists. every once in a while the ones not compatible with the list will be compatible with others. That way I can start a new list for plugin compatabilty. And then we will have 2 lists. But there are so many to keep up with its crazy every day at least 1 to 2 new plugins.

I dunno if this has been said already but the "join all houses mod" (the one that spawns the NPCs from other houses that you have to kill in house quests behind you this mod was made by whoevers email is heph@heph.org) is incompatible with the green uverith mod; it makes your stronghold dissapear

I don't know if this mod is in here or not but I just spent an hour and a half removing my mods one by one to see which was the culprtit that was screwing up the publican dialouge, namely Shenk's at Caldera.
ARRRRRRGH!
It is some mod that is suposed to add a new town somewhere called "ALA new town" by Paul van Dieken (CopyD)
Its a pretty ambitious sounding mod with new sounds and other stuff but

I had that mod installed a while ago... only thing I noticed was the town was laggy, and the dialogue topic for ala and glass mine showed up for everyone in morrowind... I found it kind of annoying when the creeper could tell me about ala... and the houses and mines looked like a copy/paste job(while checking with the console, I noticed the ownerships of the items/containers in houses belonged to npc's that I knew were in other towns...). The short wood elf guards were funny though, :P.

"and the dialogue topic for ala and glass mine showed up for everyone in morrowind... I found it kind of annoying when the creeper could tell me about ala..."

That also happens with a mod called "Laputa" in which everyone in the Zafirbel Bay said "welcome to the city of Laputa".

There was a "Laputa II" made later but i never played it so i don't know if the creator may have fixed that by then...

I think this is a great Idea....
I was afraid that mods would get redundent and then one would come along that was not compatible with all the other mods.

Iamhere, can you tell me if this combination of plug-ins is compatible? (I heard Cloak of Mykul may have problems - isn't Cloak Collection an uprade of this plug-in?) I'm sort of a newb at this....

I'm using

Giants 2.0
Giants - Dragon Add-on
MW Advanced - Passive Healthy Wildlife (Puma Man merged them)
QBH Drow Race 1.4
Cloak of Mykul
Black Hope Camping
Inscription
Enhanced Sound
Bitter Coast Sounds
Master Index
Real Signposts
Rogues
Wakim's Game Improvements (only the Flee AI one)
Traveling Merchants
Helm of Tohan

I did use Horatio's Leveled Creature List merger. Everything seems to be OK but I didn't have much time to play last night.

Thanks for any help,
Balkhan

Ok here goes.......
You can remove the Cloak of Mykul because it is already in the Rouges Mod and The Giants Mod. I have had some problems with the Dragon Add-on so I do not use it anymore. I have not checked the Black Hope Camping mod but I do not forsee problems with it because I have friends that use it with my list and have not had problems. Other than that no you should not have any problems at all. I would recommend you getting the Leveled List merger created by Horatio also and using it to combine the leveled lists in some of those mods. When you download the Leveled List program read the readme it is pretty self explanatory. What it does is make all of your leveled plugins into a master list so they all work great together. Well that is about it so enjoy the game and the experience. Happy Halloween

Thanks for the advice.

What kind of problem did you see with the Dragon add-on?

I was cleaning Heros Hovel Lite with TESCS and got an error message related to dialogue - and I'm sure it was dialogue from the old Imperial soldier who ran off with the Lord's Mail. I went ahead and used it anyway. Have you seen this before?

Thanks,
Balkhan

Yeah I have seen it and it did not get in my list. At least the lite version. As for the dragon Add on I just kept getting corny little errors and animation errors. I know there is a patch for it but I just gave up on it. Because I use Creatures of Morrowind which uses the dragons and there pretty clean.

The only problem that could occur with my Dragon add-on is because it is "older" than most other mods OR if its installed wrong.

Dragon add-on is one of the simplest and least complicated mods in existence.

It does not add anything to or changes any leveled list so it works with any other creature mod and Horatio's Leveled list merger is NOT needed at all.

Iamhere, try re-installing it fresh and correctly and update it with the editor.

Edit: Howerver if another mod uses the same "dragons data" i.e. nifs, etc.. then there will be problems if that data is changed somehow in the other mod.

Balkhan,
I disagree about removing the Cloak of mykul since GIANTS 2.0 uses Mykul's cloak of three.

Cloak of mykul is totally seperate and looks quite different from the cloaks in Cloak of three and both mods use seperate data so they are compatible.

He has more than enough plugins with mykuls cloaks to not need Cloak of Mykul. I did not say it was not compatible either though. I said he really does not need it. And Rouges mod has all of the same cloaks as cloak of mykul so once again Balkhan as I said before you do not really need it.

first, thanks for your test work!

Now the questions:
Is there a site with the all list?
Is there a list of "do not try because it will ruin your game" mod's?

Thanks again

Hey, thanks for all this - it saves SO much time.

I can't get the ninja mod to work (the first one). Even if i open and save it in TCS, it still gives the master file message - i even tried re-extracting it and saving but that still didn't work.

Also what section of dragonsite is the castlevania mod in - i looked in them all but i coudn't see it (curse my blindness).

70 percent by hand 30 percent by conflict tool. You actually have to get into the game to see for your own eyes. I use the advanced editor alot to just to see what is in the plugin.

In reply to:

Just found out some info why i may have been getting duplicates in the "Your Balmora Residence" mod and Borjst weapon pack1 and left over graphic traces when uninstalling them.I installed the latest bank mod that came out last night (looks really good) in the readme it says it has problems running with other mods that change the main script and that its not compatible with saves of the older version of his bank mod that this created duplicate items etc. in the world.

Ok, ok I'm a little late with this one but I too run the Your Balmora Residence mod and I too got the duplicated doors & flags. Thing is I am not and never have run the Bank mod that was mentioned. The only plugins I was running when the error occurred were all the Bethseda plugins, No Cliff Racers & Your Balmora Residence. (I wanted to run a relatively "pure" game before I loaded down the Island with a ton of new stuff).

I have since started a new game and the duplication error doesn't seem to have repeated itself (yet), so I'm hoping it was a temporary glitch.

Oh and has Isle Of The Dead caused anyone any problems? I installed it recently and when resaving it in the editor I got a load of error messages (mainly relating to dialogue strings). Everything seems OK, but I'm still a little dubious about it. Any opinions?

(And if the answer is further up this thread just instruct me to look there - I'm at work and I didn't have time to more than skim the thread).

LOL This is still here! Nice Iamhere for getting pinned, lol i read this post on the first day it was well, posted. I'm just getting back into morrowind so i thought i'd look around the forums... and well i found this and decided i could at least post to say hi. But my main reason is im making a new modification that will be more expansive than any mod released! I estimate it will be the size of the tribunal expansion but i can't give much away as im still just brainstorming ideas with a local mod team. But once we get a title/site/story, you'll be the first to hear from us. Also i have a list of mods that has most pertaining to yours, but they (in my opinion) are more balanced and tested as there were some cheating mods in your list (one mod had 300 ebony and 600 glass just laying around). This list requires horatios leveled list merger and tribunal:
-Giants v2 with patch 5 (latest version)
-Moon spawn ver 1.2
-Ninja mod 1,2
-Samerai pack ver 2
-DragonRecognition (they should pay you with some respect )
- Multi-mod latest version (its a simpler adventurers mod that doesnt have such drastic changes)
- 20 birthsigns
-Real sign post
- Kobu's Damage Report 1.0
-Eldar plugin
-Castlevania
-Dread Legion
- Indy bank mod (final version)
- Wolfen Castle
-Lilacor v2 (FAVORITE MOD, Very funny)
-Gladiator
-Inscription mod
-Armorer (final version)
-Abandoned Flat v2.0
-Giants-dragons (note: they are a bitch to kill)
-Clean children ver 2 number one
-Dagon fel well
-Traveling merchants (i recommend this guys scripting 4 dummies as well, its helped me a lot)
-Alexander the great's hideout (may have a different name)
-Pesuasion Response
-Nehfaern Sanctuary
-Cloack Collection (i cant find mykuls cloak mod)
-Marksman mod
-Chess v4 (great fun, put in the house where you drop your loot and everytime you visit, make another move)
-Helm of sheograth
-Wilderness mod (bye puma man, adds some ambient life)
-Modernadventurer v 5 (i was making a mod just like this one, Called the Vvardenfell gazzette but they beat me to it )
-Kai_threepack (i actually have no idea what this is, but i use it :P)
-Improved thieve expierence
- Cave of Woe v13b
-Dodge mod
-Abandoned subway (not great mod, but cool idea)
-Brother Junipers Twin Lamps (wonder why morroind referred to twin lamps but never actually applied it ?)
- All the official mods
-The 3 shades
-Assasin's armory
-Attack on Ynysmon
-Quarra Clan
-Crooked Tower
-Earthly Delights
-All of dale french's mods
-Chamber of Flies
and some other misc mods that i dont reccomend like natural skins or a bunch of house mods.
All these mods can be obtained at www.rpgplanet.com/morrowind or http://www.morrowindfiles.com/
If not look on iamhere's list

I'll update either here or another thread when i also have time (im very busy :P). But i also have one question before i go, i seem to have a broken quest and do not know how to find the root of the problem (trust me i've tried). When I am to ask the orc in the mages guild in balmora about the nerevarine, the nerevarine topic isn't there. I'm reluctant to change her script as she is needed for a later quest and i dont want to well, ruin that quest. Look at my list and see if you know a mod that may interfere or tell me a safe way to solve the problem.

Hello all [Re: ]

Well it could be a couple of different plugins your using that mess up dialouge topics or rather change them around. Its that and Tribunal. I know Tribunal and Ninja Mod 1 or 2 forget which one but it changes topics around. Also in a few other mods you have. PM me

Morrowind Improvement Mod?
      #1138868 - 02/25/03 03:59 PM

Hey. Reading through this list reminds me of a project I wanted to do, but couldn't find out whether it's already been done or not.

The basic idea is a general world improvement mod, which would in effect be gathering up mods like Rhedd's Heads, Adventurers(or other mods in the same vein), Real Signposts, and other mods with don't really add new objects but just make what already exists work better and look nicer. The idea would be to combine all these mods into one seamlessly, test them, and release a nice, single package for cosmetic and gameplay changes.

So my big question: Has this been done before? Does this sound like a good idea/bad idea?

If the idea sounds good, I'll follow up with more info on how I plan to go about implimenting it.

Its a good idea I could not agree more. BUT <--- (I hate that word) there are so many many, many, many, many diffferent reasons why this would be a very, very, very, grueling task.

Re: Morrowind Improvement Plugin?
      #1139535 - 02/25/03 07:10 PM

Yeah, I know. I've been boggling my mind for awhile now just thinking about how to go about it. I think to begin with, I might give a call out to people to throw in their opinions of what plugins should go into this pack. From there, determine which ones make the cut and which don't, then contact the authors and get the okay from them to use their plugins for this combo, and then assemble the final draft of plugins and begin combining them. I've got some webspace that a friend is allowing me to use, so if this project becomes more than just an idea, then I will put up a webpage there, and possibly a small bug reporting forum for testers and end-users.

I think the two greatest challenges of such a project would be a) deciding just what plugins should go in and b) putting them together bug-free.

Having said that, does anyone have suggestions on what plugins should go in such a package?

The criteria is as follows:

Any plugin that
-- tweaks game values to improve performance and/or challenge
-- improves on models and textures (e.g.: Rhedd's Heads)
-- improves sfx and/or music
-- changes the way NPCs behave to give a better feel to the game (e.g.: more realistic reactions to not wearing any clothes, people actually going to sleep at night, etc.)

This is just a start. Other plugin types may be considered for the future, but to keep this project simplified in its infancy, the criteria list is limited to that.

At this point in time I am just looking for brainstorming ideas so all suggestions, no matter how ridiculous, are welcome. Also, links to where I can download suggested plugins and e-mails addresses for authors would be very much appreciated. None of these plugins need necessary be compatable with each other -- compatiblity issues will be resolved when the time comes to combine them.

Maybe I should make a separate thread for this idea?

Well, personaly I would never use something like this because I like to stay in control what my plugin alter. Once you create monster plugins that change so many different aspect of the game, a player may get his way lost.

Monster plugin??? Where.... Do you understand what the context of the Compatible List is about??? Its just a list of mods that you can use together without having to go thru the trouble of checking to see if they will work together. It has nothing to do with them being combined into a single huge monster plugin. You can use 2 or 3 or 4 or all of them. Or none of them if you prefer as you say you have.

Or perhaps I am the fool here LOL forgive me but I was incorrect and you were correct. I forgot about that post up there LOL. Yes that was about a huge combining of plugins. I thought you were referring to my list. I apologize for my fault.

a lot of the links at the top of the thread are dead...
this post is one of the 2 that got me to sign up to this forum...

how about direct links to the plugins themselves, wherever they have to be dl'd from?
i know it would be a pain, and probly a hella lot of work, but considering the amount of work already put into this... well...

anyways, great job, i uninstalled all of my other plugins (most of them had some sort of conflict somewhere anyways) and i'm installing most of the ones off the list now (most of them look better anyways)
except i gotta keep that birthsigns plugin i was using... i love the fool
+50 luck, -20 Int.... my dark elf is a stupid bastard, but he has the devil's own luck.

good luck with the testing and keep up the good work
and pls consider a list of dl links to the plugin files...

I have a question:

Is Adventurer's 3.0 compatible with Wakim's game improvements? If not, which is better in terms of balancing and gameplay issues?

Also, is it [Adventurer's 3.0] compatible with Morrowind Advanced?

if anyone knows please fill me in

thanks

According to this thread The Japanese House mod deletes alot of dialoug entries.

This can break some quests in some mods like CON 1.

Luther007 Adventurers does pretty much the same thing Wakims Game Improvements does along with alot more changes to make things more exciting and balanced.Things such as enemies healing themselves with potions during combat.Realistic weapon ranges so you could hit someone further away with a spear then with a dagger. Stores now take longer to restock on money so you will have to go elsewhere to sell that fine loot you got from a dungeon expedition. Some people go home at night while some like Smugglers come out at night. There are many many more things that Adventurers does that Wakims does not and like i said it Adventurers does alot of what Wakim does like enemies running away from combat when badly injured.Adventurers and Wakims are my two favorite balancing Mods so am always using one or the other but find myself using Adventurers just a bit more now that it has added alot of the incredible things from Wakims.

Yes Adventurers is compatible with Morrowind Advanced and most if not all creature and dungeon Mods. The ones you have to be careful on being compatible with are Quests Mods which i usually stay away from since i prefer a more hack and slash exploration style.

Good luck and happy gaming .

Appoldro Weaponstore and Warrior's Rest do not go well together. from my experience the Warrior's Rest got burried in dirt after installing Appoldro Weaponstore.
