Please carefully review these Cautions if you are new to mod use or using this list for the first time.

Cautions. First, if you are new to mods or new to Morrowind for PC, see Starting Out With Mods before you do anything else. It is recommended reading before you start downloading mods and messing up your game. Read the readmes and start small to avoid problems. Managing many mods can be a challenge until you know a few basics and it can quickly take the enjoyment out of mod use.

This is a mod list, not a listing of compatible mods nor a specific endorsement of any that are here listed. Some mods are likely to conflict with others: in fact, in a themed list it is almost certain that a number of them will be incompatible. See   Telesphoros' List o' Mods  for play-tested mods and some recommendations on compatibility. The most extensive listings of mod conflicts are Iamhere's for older plugins, Links to Compatible List & More [2002] and, for more recent mods, Faceless_Wanderer's Mod Conflict Listing.  To compare the landmass occupied by many larger mods, see Cryonaut's Map-O-Mods.

Some of these mods may still need to be cleaned of "Evil" GMSTs and all should be checked. There are some mods recommended not to be cleaned with TESTool. Check the readme file and this list, which may err somewhat on the side of caution - Plugins you shouldn't clean with TESTool.

Remember also to always backup your files before messing around with mods (especially Data Files, Save Games, and Morrowind.ini).
Add new mods one at a time. Found here are the current suggested 'best practices' for Installing and Removing Mods. Learning how to use Wrye Mash should enhance your ability to manage your mods effectively and easily, while protecting your Savegames from corruption.
Adding new mods may require adjustment to the Load Order of your game files.
When adding most mods to an existing list, it will be necessary to again Merge Objects using TESTools 1.3 and to Merge Levelled Lists.

Please note that some mod makers patch and version their mods quite frequently. Links on this list therefore may not always point to the most current version. It is often worth double-checking the author's home site or the major download sites to ensure you have the most recent release. Also, mods are not removed from theme lists because a download source becomes unavailable: where possible, alternate sources will be identified. List users can help by advising us of broken links.
